Well hello, I’m Kim!

Congratulations, Mama! I am so excited that you have found me and are interested in walking this sacred transition of life together.

From the youngest age I can remember, I have always been fascinated by pregnancy and birth. This originally led me into an education career. I have a bachelors degree in early childhood education and taught in the city of Milwaukee for 6 years before starting a family of my own. My own experience solidified my passion for supporting mamas. I also have extra training through the Body Ready Method and incorporate this knowledge into my practice.

Some fun facts about me:

  • unlike most birth workers, I do not drink coffee

  • I will likely stand during your whole labor

  • witnessed my first birth at age 8

  • I live for old school hip hop and r&b

  • I will always choose the beach when given an option

  • salty over sweet snacks any day

  • don’t ask me to dance in public, it won’t happen BUT play the right music and you might catch me slippin’

As your doula…

I am here to be a part of your village! To help you seek information, to support you with physical and emotional comfort, to discover and encourage your intuition, to remind you of your goals. I will be right there with you in the vulnerable moments and the ones of power and strength. My goal is to help you feel confident in decision making about pregnancy, birth, parenting and beyond. I believe birth is a normal and physiological part of life. I trust that you can experience a safe and enjoyable birth regardless of location.

If you’d like to know if I’d be the right addition to your birth team schedule a consultation below!

My Approach

2 corinthians 1:3-4

3 praise be to the god and father of our lord jesus christ, the father of compassion and the god of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from god.

It all begins with a consult. Ask me anything you want to know. I’ll share a little more about what I do and why. I’ll follow up our consult with an email full of resources and reminders of what we discussed. If you’re ready to move forward, we find time to get together, sign some paperwork and plan out your journey.

Dream it

Don’t worry about knowing all the answers right away. Discover what you want. Build your team. Ask the questions. Educate and inform yourself and your team. Believe in your body.

Build it

The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your body and mind can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
